What One Thing Does Your Doctor Not Tell You?
By Beth Schupanitz
What one thing does your doctor not tell you?
We have all at some point in our lives gone to a doctor expecting them to be a miracle worker. It may be the day you wake abruptly with a bug, feeling like you were on your death bed. (Been there, done that! And I did wish there were a miracle cure for those 10 days, when that happened to me in South America).
All of these scenarios would have been great to have a quick fix and many more could be listed.
The one thing that your doctor will not tell you though is that there is no such thing as a quick fix, at least not one that lasts.
There is no medication out there that can “cure anything.”
Medications are designed to treat a symptom. In that sense there is a quick fix. The problem is that medications don’t get to the root cause of the problem.
Let’s say that your check engine light comes on. Instead of pulling over and checking it out, you simply put a piece of black tape over the light and keep going.
What happens to the car?
Does it continue to break down?
This is exactly what happens in our bodies. If we do not fix the initial cause our body will continue to have dis-ease and will cause a much bigger issue in our body.
The medications will silence the symptom, but the symptom is not the problem. It is only the check engine light telling you there is something wrong.
There are actually 4 stages of Degenerative Health.
- Cell Health Depletes- due to missing nutritional resources = No Symptoms
*35% of people have an undiagnosed chronic disease such as Cancer which can be present in the body for 5-30yrs undetected!
2. Organ & Gland Reserves Drained- due to nutritional resources depleted = No Symptoms
3. Microscopic Change in Tissue- “Sub Clinical” Symptoms equal headaches, stiff joints, sinus issues, insomnia, fatigue, etc…
4. Macroscopic Change in Tissue- “Clinical” Symptoms classified as a DISEASE. This is where a doctor hands out a diagnosis.
By the time we have gone to see a doctor, we have experienced significant decline in our health. According to the Journal of the American Medical Association, over 2/3 of all disease is linked to nutritional deficiencies.
There are NO drugs that supply us with the nutrients we need to maintain good health. The medications we do receive have benefits in decreasing or managing our symptoms. 100% of all drugs have a side effect. Because our body cannot fully process something that is not natural, side effects are caused. The more medications you are on, the more side effects are complied, many times leading to further complications.
The one thing your doctors will not tell you…
Your body has an incredible ability to heal itself, you only need to remove the interference and provide it with the necessary nutrients to help it heal.
This does not mean there isn’t a time and place for medications.
There absolutely is!
Medications were designed for acute care and in that realm we have come an incredibly long way!
Medications can do so much good, but if we are relying on them to take away our aches and pains because we are not making daily preventative choices, we are taking unnecessary risks.
Our daily choices promote health or promote disease.
I have seen individuals that have been suffering with IBS, chronic Migraines, Endometriosis, MS, Diabetes, Cancer and so much more, be written off by their doctors, and then make a full recovery when they changed their diet and incorporate specific nutrients to speed their healing. It is absolutely amazing the power the body has to heal itself, when properly managed.
Think about it. A broken arm doesn’t need a doctor to heal it. It only needs to be set in the proper place and the body takes over. Even if it didn’t get set properly, it would still heal itself.
The basic beginning step is to understand that about 80% of the equation is the food we eat. Understanding the fundamentals of eating real God given foods, in balance, at every meal and snack, will dramatically improve our health.
Food is our medicine, Food is preventative medicine.
The key is not to cover up our symptoms with medications, but to help our body heal from the inside out. It takes just a little bit of guidance and a few little tweaks to get to a whole new level of wellness!
Remember, if you don’t make time for wellness, you’ll be forced to take time for illness.
