This past week I spent two days at the before.conference in St. Paul, hosted by my brilliant friend, Tena Pettis. Tena draws in some of the best speakers and the most wonderful entrepreneurs! I had a short conversation with one of the speakers, Jaime Adam, about letting go, allowing and faith. Hence my blog topic was born for this week!
So how do you learn to let go and allow all of the wonderful people, places and things to come into your life on a regular basis?
An exercise I share with my coaching clients, my women circles, and my Kauai Retreats, is something I paid lots of money several years ago to learn.
I know that after I began to do this consistently, my life began to transform and change in ways I had only dreamed of.
Are you ready? If you’re willing to do this each night on your way to sleep, I know you too will begin to allow, let go and increase your faith.
- Think about what you’re thankful for as you’re heading to sleep each night.
- Ask God, the Universe and your angels to give you whatever it is they want you to know. ( this is letting go and allowing God to come in and give you your answers)
- Ask to understand and hear what they are saying. ( learn to slow down, pay attention and listen)
- Help you to remember what they’re saying. ( it could come in the form of a dream)
- Ask to help you take ACTION, when action is appropriate. ( it may not be appropriate to take action right away)
As the years have gone by since I began doing all of this every night, I truly have increased my faith, I’ve learned to allow things to unfold, as I’ve let go. I trust that my answers will come to me each day.
Did this all happen right away? No, I’m human and it’s like going to the gym. This “muscle” of asking and listening has become stronger over time.
Just begin to do this now. Tonight as you go to sleep. It’s a pretty simple thing to add into your day, don’t you think?
As I do it, even what am I going to make for dinner comes to me or which way do I drive, if there is more than one way to go. It’s not just for the big things you’re wondering about in your life, it’s the tiny things too.
Go back to my article about “Segment Intending”. If you didn’t read it, go to my blogs and read it after you’re finished reading this!
When you slow down throughout your day to tune in, visualize and feel how you want each “segment” of your day to go, you are allowing all of the wonderful people, places and things to come into your life.
Another speaker at the conference, Jodee Mittelstadt, shared about living in indecision and feeling stuck as if you’re living in the mud. She shared as you become still and open, you will begin to feel awe and become more connected.
You will begin to shift things in your life. People will notice the difference in you. You are finding your own center and you’re more powerful and confident.
From these places you will have more clarity and your breakthroughs will happen, both personally and professionally.
Sounds like a wonderful place to live huh?
I’ve been using #YouChoose lately. It really is about what you choose. If you stop thinking you need to know everything right now, and you begin to slow down, allow and let go, your faith will grow.

Many blessings to you,
Connie
