As I was working with one of my coaches recently, she suggested I write a blog about the fact that you need to get to peace and joy first, before you can lead or help others.
I know this to be true. When I was in the height of pain and despair, after my husband of 20 years and the father of our two kids, left me for a 27 year old, on 9-11 as the second tower was being hit, I felt destroyed.
There was no way I could have even thought about leading or helping anyone else during this time frame. I was living within pain, anger, hate and betrayal.
As I have shared with you the Emotional Scale, I was at the very bottom on the right side of this scale, where the vibrations are the lowest they can get.
I lived in depression, despair, grief, and powerlessness for several months.
As time went on and I took several personal growth classes that saved me, I began to heal and get strong again. My faith in God grew as I screamed out in pain to have him send someone to kill me. The pain was too much I felt for me to live.
With those screams, God sent someone every single time to be there for me, within 30 minutes.
Getting to peace and joy within me was essential before I could lead others. It’s a process. It doesn’t happen overnight.
I now look at those years as a blessing. Looking at what my ex-husband and his now wife did as a blessing, helped me become who I am today. I can’t say I love the way they did what they did, only all of what I went through in my life, is the sum total of who I am today.
Just as everything you’ve been through in your life is the sum total of who you are at this very moment.
You may relate to some of the things I’m sharing. Your story may not be the same, only if you’ve lived within any of the lower vibration emotions I describe above, you can relate.
Today I lead people to peace and joy. It’s a simple process, only it’s not always easy!
I hope you as well can look at experiences in your own life as very important lessons. Lessons that needed to be learned and felt.
Just as any lessons going forward are important for your growth.
What are your thoughts about all of this?
Leave me a comment or sent me an email with your comment! I would love to hear from you.
When this article posts, I will have just turned 62 years young! My birthday is July 8th. I have learned through all of my lessons to celebrate myself. Here’s to another 40 or more years of lessons, love, growth and leading!~
Blessings to all of you,
Connie

That is so true Connie. Pain is such a huge motivation to get in touch with our inner being, the place within that begs God for healing. In the end it’s love that heals us. How do we love our selves when we’re in that kind of despair. First we must stop the self criticism and judgments and then God’s love can put the pieces back together again in a beautiful mosaic. Thanks for being you, loving yourself and raising the consciousness of the world.
Thank you Suzanne for your wise, heat felt thoughts! Thank you for helping me raise the vibration and consciousness of this planet!
Love and many blessings to you my friend!
