You are creating memories every day. What kind of memories? That’s up to you.
We each have some amazing, joyful memories, and also some painful memories.
The key is to learn from the painful times as soon as you’re able and make them a part of your past. The lessons you learn, help to create more of the life you came here to live.
Sometimes that’s a bit tricky, right?
Time, distance and forgiveness have helped me to move beyond my painful memories. I would say today; they really are no longer painful. It took help from coaches, several personal growth classes, a therapist, friends, family, God and lots of prayer, for me to move through painful memories.
So, what kind of memories are you creating today? I mean right now.
It’s up to you. You get to choose. Slow down throughout your day to enjoy your moments.
As I’ve been talking about lately, learning to love yourself, is helpful for you to live a life you truly love. And it helps you to create some joyful memories.
Living in my present moments to the best of my ability is important.
When you focus on the things, feelings and people you want to have in your life, instead of complaining and being negative, you’re creating memories that are so much more fun. Wouldn’t you agree?
As you stop living on autopilot and pay attention to what you’re feeling and thinking, I guarantee you’ll be creating more of the memories that will help carry you forward in your life.
I love this quote I’ve included at the top.
“The most treasured gifts are the wonderful moments we create with the people we love. They become the priceless memories decorating our lives.”
When I stop and look back at my life, I appreciate so much or maybe all the lessons I’ve learned. I even appreciate the lessons I learned from my ex-husband, my kids’ dad. As painful as it was at the time and for many years after, I now know I wouldn’t be who I am today and where I am today, without having him in my life.
I see my life as a journey. I’m way more than halfway finished with this journey and I love who I am today and my life.
I know I talk quite a bit about appreciation and consciously taking the time to appreciate as much each day as you can. It truly is the doorway to the left side of the Emotional Scale I often share at the bottom of my articles. I’ll include it at the bottom again.
If you take a few minutes each day to think about and then write down what you’re grateful for, it will help you to shift into a better feeling and then help you to create happier memories. Everyone I know who writes in a gratitude journal each day, truly is a happier person.
I’ve learned over the years; life is simple. It’s just not always easy. Raising your awareness each day helps you to know where you’re at. To know what you’re thinking and feeling.
Also, taking the time to ask another how they are, truly caring about how they are, will help you to create an amazing life.
Learn to listen. Not just talk about yourself.
As you do so many of the things, I’m sharing with you, before you know it, you’re creating some joyful memories.
I would love to hear your thoughts on this topic. Will you share them with me?
Sending you love and appreciation,
Connie
PS. Here’s the Emotional Scale. I hope you take the time to print it and keep in where you can see it throughout your day.
