When life gives you sweet surprises, what joy you feel!
First, my daughter, Abby and her husband James are having a baby boy, just 17 months after their sweet Elianah was born!
What a surprise it was for me, when I recently learned they are moving from Florida to the Twin Cities near us in Minnesota!
You see, I never dreamed Abby would move back to Minnesota, since she and James, really do not like the cold. Florida is her “happy place”.
So due to another baby coming so close to the other baby, they did a pros and cons list for staying in Florida.
The pros to move here to Minnesota far outweighed the pros to stay in their beloved warm climate.
With the support of family near by, this will change so much for them. James’s family is in the U.K. and there is no family near them in Florida on either side.
I literally felt this was one of the best surprises I could have.
This is an amazing thing, to have all 6 grandkids near us.
Consequently, the kids will grow up knowing each other and their uncles, aunts and grandparents.
Furthermore, I won’t be flying to Florida as often. We bought a beautiful 3 bedroom condo, 55 minutes from where their home now is. It’s near the Atlantic Ocean on the Halifax River.
As times goes on, Hale and I will spend more of our winters at the condo, as Abby and family can join us as well, if they choose.
Since James offices remotely, he can essentially work from anywhere.
Therefore, they are moving fast on this, since Abby will not be traveling in her third trimester. She is just over 4 months pregnant now.
Over 20 years, I can count on one hand, the times both of my children were with me for a meal at the same time.
I’m so excited this will be changing!
So, life truly does give you sweet surprises!
I just returned from 17 days at Abby and James’s home. I was honored to be there for Elianah’s first birthday and her first steps.
Because I value spending time with our grandkids, family and close people in our lives, I feel this is giving me an opportunity.
An opportunity to build deeper relationships.
After my mom’s passing last year, it seems I have a deeper feeling about how I choose to spend my time I have left here on earth.
None of us has a guarantee of how long we have left here.
I’ve made some decisions about my business and hosting my retreats.
At least for the next year or two, I will not host my Glow Spiritual Vacation Retreats, after my upcoming February 13-19, 2023, Costa Rica retreat.
This will be my last one for awhile.
If you would like to join us, there are still some spots left at this very unique, inspiring retreat. The location is breathtaking, our excursions of Costa Rica will be amazing, and my teachings about some of the Laws of the Universe will transform your life if you will allow them to.
All of the details are on my retreat page, with an extensive itinerary of fun, explorations both of Costa Rica and of yourself:

Lastly, when life gives you sweet surprises, you may tend to reevaluate your choices you make.
Just as you do when life is bitter. You hopefully choose to grow.
What are some sweet surprises you’ve had in your life? I’d love to hear what they are.
Reach out to me to share them with me!
With love and appreciation,
Connie
