What or who is your inspiration?
The word “inspiration” means “breathing in”. To be inspired, you need to breathe in the energy of the Universe to expand your awareness of the world around you.
When you find inspiration, you can find fresh ideas to enhance your creativity and to simply live each day loving your life.
Shown in the photo is someone who greatly inspires me. My 104 1/2 year old friend Lorna! This photo was taken just the other day.
Lorna was our next door neighbor when we moved to Minnesota in 1992.
She has remained one of my favorite people to spend time with over the years!
She is wise, fun, well-read and very intelligent. She has seen and experienced so much in her over 104 years on this planet.
Her main lesson to living a life you love and to remain youthful, is your mindset.
She says to have a positive mindset comes first in living a youthful life.
Next is regular exercise and healthy nutrition. Up until about 4-5 years ago, she also had a vodka or a glass of wine most evenings as well. When she needed heart medicine around this time, the doctor said no more alcohol.
Lorna is one of my role models for me to live a long, healthy, happy life.
My parents inspire me as well. Dad will soon be 88 and Mom soon to turn 86. They are youthful and stay busy being of service in their church. Mom still sings in the choir. They do not let any grass grow under their feet!
At Thanksgiving when I was back in Toledo, my Dad and I went over to my childhood friend’s home for a visit. Her husband hadn’t seen my dad in many years. His response about my dad, was how he seemed as if he was our age. In his early 60’s.
My parents great examples of love, faith and family, have inspired me all of my life.
Something that keeps me moving and wanting to get up in the morning, is my purpose. To live in joy and to inspire others to live in joy.
As I coach people through individual coaching, my Women In The Glow monthly Circle Group, my Glow Kauai Spiritual Vacation Retreats, or simply by smiling and talking with people each day, I know finding your purpose and living from it, is vital.
Vital to living a life you love. Vital to living in joy more moments than not.
After my first Kauai Retreat, it became clear to me that one big reason I’m here on this planet, is to help others know what their gifts are. Then help them share their gifts out in their lives, whatever that looks like for them.
We all have gifts. When you learn what your’s are and begin to share them regularly, I guarantee you will live in happiness and joy more often than not.
As we each do this, we will be helping to raise the vibration of this planet, one person at a time.
God knows this planet needs the vibration raised right now!
So what or who is it that inspires you to get out of bed and share who you are?
Each morning I have my personal practices that help me to find inspiration. I read from some inspirational books, draw angel cards and write in a gratitude journal every morning without fail.
What one thing will you do each day to help you find inspiration? Leave me a comment or send me an email with your personal practices you now do or what you will add in daily.
Many blessings to you,
Connie
PS. Being out in nature is a sure way to find inspiration. Being out in nature relaxes you and it’s much easier to stay living in joy when you’re out in beautiful surroundings. Do you agree?
Join me and a small group of people October 5-12, 2018 at our Kauai Spiritual Vacation Retreat, to be inspired perhaps more than you ever have in your life!

Great article, Connie. I believe, too, that gratitude is the best ay to start each and every day. I want my kids and grandkids to sheke their their heads and wonder what Gramma is going to do next… Life is an exciting adventure that should be embraced. It sounds like we both agree on this philosophy!
