Blessings.
Do you stop and think about what your blessings are very often?
I’ve talked about stopping often to appreciate things in your every day life and in your present moments. I think blessings may have a deeper emotion attached to them than the little things you appreciate often.
What are your blessings?
As I write these sharings from my heart each week, I tune in to see what comes to me to talk about for each blog.
First of all I feel very blessed to have a healthy body. I just turned 61 as I talked about in another post, on July 8th. In some respects I still think I’m 30!
Although as my Laker Chick friends (I talked about them last week in my post), and I watched a video I put together of photos of us back in the 1990’s and onward, we all mentioned how young we looked back then. We didn’t even know how young we really looked. Today at our ages, we still have kept ourselves looking youthful and kept our bodies pretty healthy, and we can also feel the signs of aging.
Another blessing I have in my life is Hale. My man. (Shown in this photo with me) He is such a good man and I’m blessed to have him in my life and for him to have good health as well. I pay attention to the little things he does for us, for me, and tell him about it.
My parents being alive and healthy at 84 and 86 years old is another major blessing in my life. Also the fact at my age I get to go back and stay with them in the home I grew up in and sleep in my same bedroom and bed I had! How about that??
I have written about them many times and they both know how much I appreciate them and consider them a blessing. I don’t think they can ever hear it enough though! People need to hear how we feel about them often, don’t you think?
My children, Adam and Abby are a blessing to me.
My grandchildren and being a grandma is a big blessing. What a joy they are and what they bring into my life! Gavin, almost 13, Phoebe 10, Olivia Rose ( Livi) 3 and my new grandson due in November (and my daughter-in-law Laura, the mother of Liv and my grandson she’s carrying, is a blessing) and Anna, Gavin and Phoebe’s mom is a blessing.
My four siblings and their families are a blessing to me.
All of my friends, long time, more recent and brand new friends are blessings to me.
I could go on and on with so many other things that are a blessing to me.
So will you stop and think about your blessings in your life? Will you comment below and share some?
As I’ve talked about many times, you need to slow down often, take a deep breath, tune in to what is going on with you, observe yourself more often, then count your blessings!
I guarantee your life will become more of a life you truly love if you would do these simple things many times each day!
One more thing that is a blessing to me is my Kauai Spiritual Retreat coming up at the end of October and the people who have registered for it already and the ones that will. There are just 20 spots total and it’s filling up, so take a look at my beautiful retreat page to see if it’s a fit for you or anyone you know: www.conniehertz.com/retreat
With love and blessings to you,
