Thankful, Grateful and Appreciation all carry the same very high vibration.
First of all, I talk a lot about the Emotional Scale.
Furthermore, as I move through my days, I notice signs and messages I get.
Hence, it was time to share about being thankful again.
Lately, the word thankful has shown up a lot.
Because I recently spent over a week back in Toledo, Ohio (my hometown) with my 94 year old dad, family and friends, I experienced being thankful.
So, due to staying in the home and bedroom I grew up in since I was 10 years old, the wonder and joy were there for me.
How many almost 69 year old’s get to experience this? I’m guessing very few.
Therefore, I continuously felt the feelings of being thankful, grateful and appreciative.
As I speak about, when you feel more of the higher vibration emotions on the left side of the Emotional Scale, your life will feel better. And it will become better.
Because spending time with Dad is truly fun, my mood was positive. He has that affect on me and others.
He stated at one point as my sister and I were talking with him about a birthday party of a cousin, “I’m always open to come to a party!”
We celebrated my dad’s 94th birthday in the party room of his favorite Chinese restaurant with as many family members as could attend.
He dressed in his new shirt Hale and I got him for his birthday, with dress pants and shoes. I notice how he takes care, always to do the things that signify he enjoys his life.
Since he walks at least once each day, either at Home Depot or outside and uses the 3 pound hand weights regularly, he keeps himself as fit as he can. For a person his age and with congestive heart failure.
The people at Home Depot, announced over the loud speaker, it was Dad’s birthday. I know he was thankful for each person who wished him a “Happy Birthday!”
Now Dad is thrilled to be back at his summer home near my brother and his wife and other family members. It’s on the Portage River, which flows into Lake Erie.
As he gets to walk freely at the resort and drive his golf cart all around, his joy is increased.
You see, he is a people person in all respects. He enjoys visiting, listening, sharing and laughing.
When I was in Toledo, Dad drove us the 30 minutes to Michigan to meet my long time friend Debbie and her daughter for lunch. Plus, we visited together, my other long time friend’s mom, near Dad’s home. It was nice to visit with my other childhood friend, Sharon, at my dad’s home too.
I’m eternally grateful I have him for my dad.
He says he’s living until he’s 100. So, if that’s the case, we have him for at least 6 more years.
Consequently, we have our trip already planned for a month after Christmas with Dad, to be at our condo in Florida. So awesome to have this to look forward to!
Who or what, are you thankful for?
Whatever it is, I hope you make sure you let them know how grateful you are.
I appreciate all of you who read my inspirational articles each week. If you aren’t already on my list, at the end of each blog is the area to subscribe to receive them.
With love and thankfulness,
