Taking Time For Fun!
By Connie Hertz
Do you take time for fun? How often?
In this photo shown, Hale and I are in Barcelona, Spain at a very fun restaurant with wonderful tapas and wine!
Now you don’t need to just take a trip or fly to Europe to have fun, although this was one of the most memorable trips I have ever been on!
What is it you really love to do, you consider fun? Do that often!
I must say, taking time for fun, is one of the areas I need to improve on. I consider listening to music and singing loudly a whole lot of fun for me, even though anyone listening may not! No seriously, I sing OK, only not worthy of singing on stage.
I consider playing with my grand kids fun. I have three grandchildren, Gavin 11, Phoebe 8 and Livi 18 months old. I just spent time with Livi, and if you are ever around a baby this age or a toddler, you know it’s a great way to have fun! I loved watching her and how she found such joy in dancing and laughing with her Auntie Abby, my daughter, over and over again, never tiring of it. I could listen to Livi laugh all day! Her energy is amazing!
I consider cooking to be fun as well. Creating a dinner for people I love, listening to music as I cook, drinking a good red wine, and having candles lit.
I find being with friends who make me laugh, and just enjoying each other, lots of fun.
I encourage you to pay attention to what it is you enjoy and what creates fun for you, and then consciously do each of them often!
Here’s to having more fun in your life!
