Slowing Down
By Connie Hertz
Tis the season for hurrying and rushing about, whether you’re shopping or visiting family and friends.
What if you consciously slowed down in your present moments and simply enjoyed them? I would guess you would have more fun and appreciate what you were doing and appreciate the people you were with.
Taking deep breaths, listening to music you love, doing things you love and being around people you enjoy will be great steps to help you slow down.
What else could you do to consciously slow down?
How about taking time for yourself each day? Even moments to yourself could help shift your mood and slow you down.
I coach people about going on a “Rampage of Appreciation” to shift out of any feeling that is bringing them down. Stop and look around yourself for everything you appreciate in your present moments. In traffic or standing in line, you can create better feelings inside of you as you stop, slow down and appreciate.
I challenge you in this very busy season, to consciously practice the things I’ve talked about!
Enjoy yourself and this season,
Connie

Such a great reminder. I suggest to my clients to schedule in YOU each and every day. Even just 5 minutes of journaling, breathing, deep breathing, praying can help us all slow down. Challenge yourself everyday to start out with your 5 minutes to “slow down” will give us the best start to every day. Thank you Connie for this great reminder.
