Daily personal practices help when you’re not feeling well.
Daily personal practices are something I have been developing and doing faithfully now, consciously, for many years.
First, I begin each day with prayers and affirmations. No matter where I am, at home or traveling.
I read the book by Louise Hay, You Can Heal Your Life back in the 1970s. When I began saying some of her suggested affirmations daily, back then, and continue to say them every morning now, my life began to change.
I took my first personal growth class in 1974, where I learned how to meditate, and began my journey of learning more about me, people, life, and spirituality. I began meditating using visualization and using the colors of the rainbow to calm and still my body and my mind.
Furthermore, using your breath; deep breathing, is a very important piece in calming ourselves and shifting into a state to receive from God.
Similarly, you will find you are more in touch with yourself as well. Hence, you will be aware more often what it is you’re feeling and then in turn, you can raise your vibration.
I now, meditate most afternoons. I am using a guided meditation, with music and deep breathing. Meditation keeps me living more peaceful, loving, and in alignment with God. Due to my daily meditations, I also have greater energy.
Consistency, is vital when making shifts and changes in ourselves. As the author of the book , The Compound Effect, Darren Hardy says:
“It’s doing the little things over and over, that make the big differences.”
Another thing I learned, at a Master’s of Manifestation class, with Marcia Wider, in Santa Barbara, was meditation through dance. A video with Gabriel Roth, leading our group, was a great experience,
My other morning personal practices are reading from a few inspirational books and writing in a gratitude journal.
I also work out at a health club when I can. If not, I use their app to do the class at home.
As I’m falling asleep each night, I say more prayers.
For instance, saying to God each night on the way to sleep:
“Give me what it is you want me to know. Help me to hear and understand what you are saying. Help me to remember it. (the message could come in the form of a dream)
Then help me to take action, when action is appropriate”.
Saying this each night helps me to become “open to receive”.
Finally, I have found that following the many personal practices that I have for many years now, has kept me a happier person. Also, I’m more apt to make better choices for myself. I know they have helped me to love myself. In addition, I am better able to live from my purpose: Living in joy and inspiring others to live in joy.
So, I ask you, will you add in at least one personal practice each day?
If you do, I know you will be happy you did! You will find you are loving yourself more as well.
Please let me know your thoughts and what you will add into your life daily, as a personal practice.
Go out and let your light shine, and step up and become the person you were meant to be.
Lastly, when you are optimistic daily, you can transform your world. Optimism is on the left side of the Emotional Scale, where your energy and vibrations are higher. Your physical health will improve as well.
Much love and many blessings,
Connie
