Using meditation helps improve your energy and so much more.
Using meditation to improve your energy is one of the easiest things you can do each day.
In 1974, I took my first personal growth class. It included different types of meditation.
One of them I’ve shared before in an article. We used the colors of the rainbow, breathing as we pictured each of the colors as a mist or a warm healing light. Note the different colors listed below tied to our Chakra’s.
I use this form at times to relax my body, mind and spirit. I’ve been using a guided meditation I have on my iPhone for the last couple years. It’s easy to use, any place I am.
I take time most afternoons to do this. It helps me to shift and increase, my energy and keeps me healthier and more in balance physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.
Many people think meditation is something mystical and not easy to do.
It’s really so much about using your breath. Taking deep breaths, helps lower your blood pressure. It gets more oxygen to your cells. Also, breathing deeply relaxes your mind and your emotions. As a result, I feel closer to God.
In addition, using meditation regularly, helps me to release negativity.
Here’s a great article my friend Rev. Dr. Rachel Wetzsteon wrote several years ago.
“Meditation, in my opinion, is the single greatest healing modality and self-care activity that we can do for ourselves. It costs us nothing but a bit of time each day in awareness and stillness.
There are many options for meditation, including guided meditation CDs or specific training programs.
However, it can really be as simple as setting aside a time each day to close our eyes and allow ourselves and our minds to become quiet. Its most remarkable effect is the change in our personal energy field.
Everything is energy. We think of ourselves, our books, the trees, etc. as solid, but at the foundation of everything is an energy (often referred to as Life force energy) which is constantly vibrating at various frequencies. Thus, we each have a personal vibration and an energy field that encompasses our physical body.
We have 7 major energy centers, called Chakra’s – the Root Chakra (red) at our groin, the Sacral Chakra (orange) at our lower abdomen, the Solar Plexus Chakra (yellow) at our upper abdomen, the Heart Chakra (green) at the center of our chest, the Throat Chakra (blue) at our throat, the Third Eye Chakra (indigo) at our forehead, and the Crown Chakra (violet) at the top of our head.
These energy centers should be open, flowing, and bright. Over time, these energy centers become clogged with more dense, lower vibration energy as a result of our emotional holding and our life experiences.
At the start of my self-healing journey, I learned from a Reiki energy healer that I had a closed Root Chakra and a closed Throat Chakra. When I arrived at this knowledge, I did a lot of self-exploration, meditation and learning about Chakra’s.
My physical issues and life challenges were explained by the dysfunction in my energy field. I had a general lack of energy – which I learned was literally a lack of energy flowing into my energy field through my Root Chakra because it was closed.
Also, I had been diagnosed with mononucleosis several times in my life and had difficulty expressing myself as a result of my closed Throat Chakra.
Through meditation and self-awareness, I experienced clearing and opening of these energy centers. I now feel a much greater vitality and enthusiasm, as well as a greater ability to express myself. As a result, it became noticeable to my friends and family.
The consequence of our holding lower vibration energies in our energy field, is that we become habitual in our reactions and emotions and we can also experience physical dis-ease.
Meditation, as well as energy healing, enables us to break up the dense energies in our energy field. So, instead of feeling low vibration emotions, such as fear, guilt, anger, grief, and shame, we can transcend to higher vibration levels.
Furthermore, this is where we can feel more love, compassion, and joy on a regular basis.
When our energy field is at a high vibration level, our body expresses full presence, flexibility, and perfect health. Our emotions have a very powerful effect on the function and health of our bodies.
Meditation is essential in the healing of our thoughts and our emotions.
If you are experiencing any emotional or physical dis-ease, life challenges, or simply a lack of joy and passion, take the step into self-healing and awareness. It will truly change your life and change your body.
We are meant to experience love, happiness, and health through ease, not struggle. Choose to allow self-healing and enjoy the journey!”
To connect with Rev. Dr. Rachel Wetzsteon:
I hope you will take the time each day to begin a meditation practice.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Using meditation now during the holiday season and beyond, will help you to live a life you love.
Love and blessings,
Connie
PS. Here is the Emotional Scale I use as a reminder of where my energy is at each day. I encourage you to print this and look at it daily!
