Make 2018 Your Best Year Ever-Happy New Year!

December 30, 2017 by conniehertz Leave a Comment

Will you make 2018 your best year ever?

Set this as your intention as you’re heading into the new year.

You see it’s really about your mindset, the choices you will  make each day and what you’re feeling.

You and you alone, have the power to choose how you will live in this new year.

What are things you can do each day to make sure you’re living the best year in 2018?

As I talk about often, your thoughts, the things you’re thinking often, are creating your present moments.

Do you believe this to be true?

I have been making a list on New Year’s Day, for several years now, of my intentions for this next year. Some people call them  New Year’s resolutions or goals.

Only what ever you call them, I find benefit in doing this.

I know that writing things down adds power to anything. You see, when you write things down on paper, instead of simply thinking something, or even typing them on your computer, there’s a higher chance you will achieve them.

Did you know this? It’s because when you write something down, you’re involving your brain, you’re nerves, and your body, in a way that physically will allow for you to make them a reality.

I also talk with people I coach, about making a short list of just 3 things every evening, of things you really want to accomplish the next day.

When you keep your list short, there’s a better chance you will actually achieve the things you’ve listed.

If you don’t achieve them, carry them over to your list for the next day, until you’ve accomplished them.

My friend Kristina Fortune Anderson,  says she will not set goals or have New Year resolutions anymore. She will set intentions and they will come from what she wants to feel when she has these things.

Remember the last two weeks I’ve been talking about taking just 5 minutes each day to allow yourself to feel what you most want to feel?

Well, Kristina knows that this will allow her to live within anything she most wants, as she is feeling what she will feel when she has them.

If you missed the last two weeks of my blogs, you can go back and read them here: https://conniehertz.com/blog

Increase your self love and self respect this year, by following through with what you say you will do.

Read uplifting things each day. Start your morning with reading even just one sentence or quote that will help you to move in a positive direction for that day.

Get moving physically. It shifts your energy and creates those feel good endorphin’s.  Even if you aren’t a workout at the health club person, you can take a walk can’t you? Even in the bitter cold of Minnesota right now, you can bundle up and take a walk.

What else can you do to help ensure your 2018 is the best year ever?

Here’s what one of my readings today said:

“It’s wise not to ask people or even God, for much of anything;  guidance, help, time, comfort, security, friendship, compassion, trust, respect, money, or love -that you yourself would not give.

Give what you most want.”

Yep, give to others and to yourself, what you most want.

Make sense?

Take times to slow down throughout your days and become aware if you start to live on auto-pilot. Take deep breaths and perhaps do a meditation, whether short or long.

Sometimes life can get crazy and seem too fast. I talk frequently about what you can do to help yourself through these times.

Become aware of yourself and how you’re feeling.  When you consciously do this throughout your day, it’s easier to slow down. It’s easier to make sure you’re creating your best year ever!

When I picked the photo to include in this article, I found the Star Trek meme. Yes, I love Star Trek. All of them that were different series on TV and all of the movies!~

As the meme says, “Don’t just wish for a great 2018. Make it so!”

Leave me a comment with some things you will do to make sure 2018 is your best year ever. I would love to hear from you!

May you create a very happy, blessed, amazing 2018!~

Blessings to you,

Connie

PS. October 5-12, 2018 is a time I’m over the top excited about! Possibly my last Kauai Spiritual Vacation Retreat will be taking place during this unique 7 days/7 nights.

I will determine while I’m there this year if I will host another.  I will tune in and listen.
