What do you love? What really gets you excited and fired up? This goes hand in hand with my topic last week of What Feeds Your Spirit?
In this photo, Hale and I are on the Amalfi Coast of Italy one year ago.
Traveling and exploring is one thing I truly love, as does Hale. This entire Europe trip was so special and full of energy for both of us. We had new adventures every day while in Rome for 3 1/2 days and then on an 11 day Mediterranean cruise.
I also love being around children, especially my grandchildren. We have an 11, almost 9 year old and baby granddaughter who’s just over 19 months old. I love their energy. The baby is growing so fast, as they do at this age, and seems to be changing constantly. Her laughter and smiles are contagious!
I’m writing about this topic, since we are at the start of a fresh, new year, when lots of us are evaluating our lives and businesses, and how we want things to be better and different this year of 2015.
This is my 60th year of being on this planet. I turn 60 this July, and I’m really thinking about my life thus far and how I want my next 40 years to be.
Have you spent time this month of January thinking about your life too? What you love and what you want more of? What isn’t working and how you can change these areas?
I know lots of people I surround myself with are doing just that. I have found it’s helpful to be a part of a tribe or team, of people who want to grow and become more of who they are meant to be.
Do you take responsibility for what you do or don’t have in your life?
Big question! I coach about taking ownership for yourself and your life and not blaming others. I do know it’s hard at times to do this. I also know I must take ownership and not blame, in order to live the life I truly love.
Take one part of your life, that you may not be taking ownership, and take small steps daily to let go of any blame.
One way to do this is to find and do things you love to do. Often!
Find appreciation right now for what you do have in your life and world, and spend a few moments focusing on these things. This will shift your energy to a higher level, and help you to spend more moments in joy and happiness.
We are the only ones who can do this for ourselves. No one else is responsible for us or anything we do or don’t have. Our happiness comes from inside of each one of us.
I’m proposing that each of us find and do more things we love to do, on a daily basis, and our lives will eventually become what we have dreamed of!
Many blessings to each of you,
Connie
