Looking back with appreciation is something I’ve been doing at the end of this month.
First, at the end of the first month of 2024, my gratitude and appreciation are strong.
It’s because I got to spend Christmas, New Year’s Eve, and the first 3 weeks of this year with my dad, Homer and my husband, Hale.
You see, for two years now, Hale took 4 weeks off to travel with me to Ohio and Florida.
Furthermore, it was not certain Dad would be able to join us again at our condo in Florida. His lung collapsed a few times this past year and flying and travel were iffy.
Thankfully, his lung is holding and he was able to come with us after Christmas.
As a result of some family members coming down with Covid after our large extended family Christmas party, the possibility of any of the 3 of us getting it, was present.
With so much appreciation, we all stayed healthy. Our 3 weeks in Florida happened once again.
However, the weather wasn’t as warm this trip as it was last year.
There were no beach days and I wore shorts only a couple times.
It was more about being together, experiencing some new things, such as interacting with manatees.
We found they are such mesmerizing creatures to watch. The beautiful, Blue Spring National Park, only a 45 minute drive from the condo, is a magical place.
Manatees gather here from November to March, since the water temperature in the spring is a constant 72 degrees.
The park rangers’ talk and slideshow were informative.
Likewise, our trip to St. Augustine, the United States’ oldest city, was once again intriguing. All 3 of us love history and there is plenty of it here.
Our time over to the Tampa area to spend time with two of my nephews, one who is having their first baby at the end of February, was wonderful.
As was our boat trip from Ponce Inlet to view many dolphins playing, was something else we all had appreciation for.
Being out on the water is something we all enjoy.
Then eating outside on a deck, overlooking the water, in January, was so nice.
Hence, we did other things we appreciated, such as sitting on our balcony, in the sunshine, knowing it was below zero back home. Also, enjoying a lunch over looking the ocean in Cocoa Beach with one of my friends, we appreciated.
Do you agree with my meme I wrote above about appreciation?
I do my best to consciously find appreciation. As I have written before, it’s a great doorway to move your thoughts and vibrations, to the left side of the Emotional Scale I have shared many times.
Similarly, as you are able to feel and think more warm and loving thoughts, you carry a higher vibration that attracts positivity to you.
My hope is, you will begin to pay attention to how often you are feeling appreciation, and if you’re not, stop and visualize things you love.
Then you will shift your vibrations to a higher place.
Love and blessings to you,
Connie
