Life Sure Is A Journey.
Life throws us all kinds of things.
First, I am tired of living within our COVID-19 world.
As a result of new issues with my mom’s health in the last week, I have been feeling many feelings.
Mom was declared cancer free on Valentines Day. We just learned a low-grade type of cancer has returned. However, the surgeon told me when he called, it was not the kind that spreads. He will be able to scrape it out and flood the area with chemotherapy.
Because of the caution that is taken surrounding the virus, my dad wasn’t allowed to go in with her. It hurt my heart thinking about him waiting in the car in the parking lot until they called him on his cell phone and mom being alone in the out patient clinic.
God would be with my Mom, she said. So she wouldn’t be alone.
Fortunately, my brother-in-law, went to sit with Dad, so he wasn’t alone. Dad in his car and my brother-in-law in his. With their windows down.
It’s different now in our life than when mom had her last surgeries in February and last October. Gratitude has been something I’ve felt, since Mom completed all of her chemotherapy treatments in Toledo, Ohio, before the virus spread.
So, due to their wonderful church community and Pastor Ruby, as mom was in the surgery area, many of us were on a zoom prayer meeting.
Even my dad was on the prayer meeting in the car on the phone. This prayer time was helpful to all of us.
Life has changed in many ways.
What hasn’t changed, is the love that’s present in my family and others I see out in the world being of service.
Because of the needs out in our area, country and the world, I have watched as people share and step up to help in many ways.
Have you witnessed this as well?
It has been harder lately for me to feel the inspiration I usually feel.
Consequently, writing this article right now isn’t as easy as it has been.
For instance, I’m aware of some resistance in allowing my answers to come, when I ask God for them.
However, appreciation is something I’m able to find many times throughout my day.
As I coach about appreciation being a doorway to get to the left side of the Emotional Scale, it is vital for me to consciously practice this often.
I’ll include the Emotional Scale below, once again for you to look at and print for your own inspiration for your life now.
I would love to hear from you as to what you are doing to keep yourself motivated and inspired now. Would you send me back a message?
Finally, my parents are back at their happy spot, their summer home on the Portage River, near Lake Erie.
Their faith is an inspiration to me. Also, their love and commitment to each other and their family is a wonderful example.
As we are all not able to be together in person yet, we still have the phone and Zoom calls to see each other.
Above all, I hold on to the thought I will once again get to fly to be with my parents. To hug them again. I hold on to the thought I will get to hug my kids and grand kids again. And the rest of my family.
Life is so precious.
With love and appreciation,
Connie

Connie, I regularly say prayers for your family and others. I understand your frustration with Covid-19. I too want to resume a “normal” life. Your Mom is a strong woman with a strong faith, and a great family filled with Christ in their lives. This too shall pass and we WILL be able to “hug” and “hold” each other again very soon. Thank you for your updates and let me say, I feel your love in each and every post about your family. ❤

Hello Connie,
We all wish for your mom’s speedy recovery. Worrying about a loved one’s well-being is difficult enough without adding to it all that is happening in the world right now. You and your family will be in my thoughts. I wish you and your family all the best. God Bless.
Love you,
Ron
Ron thank you so much! I appreciate your thoughts and your love.
