Life is so very precious.
The other day I had lunch with a friend I met a couple years ago. She reminded me with her story, of just how precious it is.
Shirley was married to the love of her life and the father of her two young children.
In 2010 she received a call that her husband had been in a car accident.
In the blink of an eye, Shirley became a young widow and a single parent.
From that experience, her new life’s purpose evolved. Helping other women and families to feel more secure, enlightened and self-confident about their financial futures.
Shirley Bachman is an agent with New York Life Insurance.
She also volunteers at different places helping people living within grief.
Her loving approach and her first hand knowledge of what may happen if you’re not prepared financially when tragedy strikes, makes her someone people feel safe talking with.
As I sat talking with her, my topic for this article came to mind.
How often do you not stop to cherish your loved ones?
Tell and show them how much you love them and how much they mean to you?
I talk frequently about not living on auto-pilot, slowing down and finding appreciation for people and things in your life. Those of you who have been reading my blogs now for awhile, know I share often about the importance of appreciation.
It actually shifts your vibrations to a higher level. Depending on how you are feeling in any given second. When you take deep breaths and find something to appreciate, you can change your own mood and what you’re attracting to yourself fairly quickly.
Shirley said “Don’t wait to plant your seeds, because tomorrow may be a rainy day.”
This may be a topic you don’t want to think about, only as Shirley says, “Tomorrow or next week or even the next moment, have no guarantees.”
Each of us are important to someone else. Maybe many someones.
Each of us carries around the seeds for our garden of our dreams. Get into action today and plant your seeds. Don’t wait until tomorrow.
My mom always taught me, “Never go to bed mad at someone”.
My mom lost her mom when she was just 21 years old and a new mother. She didn’t get all of the wonderful years I have had and still get to have with her. She passed away in her sleep of a heart condition no one knew about.
As you learn to live in your present moments more often than not, and find appreciation, your life will begin to change. You will find joy like you’ve never known before, and on a regular basis.

I guarantee as you learn to slow down and find appreciation daily, your life will change.
You will realize how very precious life and those around you are. It’s easier for me to feel connection and love for others, everywhere I go, as I feel this gratitude often.
I would love to hear from you about this article and how you feel.
