Happiness is an inside job. You choose. It’s always your choice. Don’t assign anyone that much power over your life.
Do you agree?
This meme, above, I posted recently on social media, received lots of interaction.
I know people know this. Only do you live from this concept more often than not? I think we need to be reminded of this.
As you choose what you’re doing, thinking and feeling each day, all day, you’re either living within happiness or not.
I do know that there are lots of times in your days, because you’re human, you may not choose to come from this place of joy and happiness.
What can you do to live within joy and happiness more often?
I know as you slow down, lose some stress in your life, take deep breaths, pray and take time for meditation, happiness will be there waiting for you.
As you choose to eat healthy foods and get some type of exercise often, you’ll feel better about yourself. You’re actually creating the feel good endorphins as you get your heart pumping. Take walks, jog, go to a gym or health club, get outside. What else can you do?
It’s about creating regular habits that you will actually do. Because, as you add things in slowly, one thing at a time, you’re creating a habit. Then as you get used to doing the first thing, you can add in something else. Make sense?
As a result, when you don’t take responsibility for your own happiness, you’re giving someone else power over you. Not really.
Because in reality, no one has power over you but you.
Laugh, sing, love, have fun more often!~
Spend time with the people you truly enjoy. You know who they are.
The author John S. Powell wrote a book called Happiness Is An Inside Job. He states:
“Pursue happiness by learning to accept yourself as you are, make your life an act of love, stretch out of your comfort zone, and more. A gift of peace, satisfaction and happiness!”
Yep, beginning with accepting yourself is a great place to start. As you stretch out of your comfort zone, you always end up stronger and more confident. Don’t you agree?
