How often do you go with the flow?
I learned a new phrase while in Kauai at my Glow Retreat, from Adrian, our ambassador/guide/chef, “Wuu Wei” ( pronounced “ooo way”), meaning to go with the flow.
When anyone would get into fear or want to know exact agenda’s of what was next each day, Adrian would remind us, “Wuu Wei”.
What a much better way to live! It’s not typically the way we are taught to live though, is it?
To me as I am now practicing going with the flow consciously more than I ever have, things are much easier.
My mindset has shifted. I’m paying attention more to faith that everything will work out. Everything will be flowing with much more ease, as if floating down a river, instead of going against the current.
Look at times in your life when you went with the flow, you didn’t worry about how things would end up. Felt much better than needing to know details every single moment didn’t it?
Now, I’m not saying to not be organized when planning an event, or not to have some agenda set.
We had agenda’s each day in Kauai at my retreat. They were followed basically each day, only living each day within Wuu Wei as well. Allowing for the beautiful surprises that come with going with the flow.
Adrian is a perfect example of how it looks to live your life, going with the flow. To watch him prepare 5 star meals after touring with us for several hours, and then to get back to our base cottage, and have this amazing meal prepared within less than one hour, for 10 people, was something to see!
He did it with seeming ease, while listening to music, and just making it all happen.
I found while there and now back at home, as I am conscious of living in the flow, I am more peaceful, I’m able to live in my present moments more than not, and I have less fear about things coming up or getting into action with things that will move my life forward.
I encourage all of you to stop and pay attention to yourself, what you’re feeling at any given moment, and are you living in the flow?

Many blessings to you,
Connie
