Going On A Rampage Of Appreciation!
By Connie Hertz
Last week I spoke about going on a “Rampage of Appreciation”.
Pictured here with me are my beloved parents and siblings, for whom I am very grateful I have in my life!
What I know for sure is, appreciation/gratitude, love and joy produce the highest form of energy vibration.
You may not think much about energy and vibrations, but they really are everything in life. We all know when the vibes in a room we just walked into are not very high, we can feel it in our gut. Sometimes you may want to just turn around and leave. I have actually done that!
When we are living in our present moments in love, joy and appreciation, our lives feel happy and peaceful. When we aren’t living within these feelings, our moments aren’t as pleasant. Just stop and slow down and begin paying attention to what you are feeling in any given moment.
I have been doing this consciously now for the last few years, and as I have taken responsibility for myself and what I’m feeling all of the time, I am a much more joyous person, most of the time.
When I get irritated or angry, or sad or any of the feelings that don’t produce what I want, I have learned I’m responsible to change around my thoughts as quickly as I can, and not attract unwanted things into my life.
I do allow myself to feel what I’m feeling, and I know that I have the power to change it rather quickly if I choose to.
Stopping and going on my “Rampage of Appreciation” is the fastest and most fun way to do this!
I take a deep breath ( taking deep breaths helps tremendously and gets more oxygen flowing throughout our bodies!), and look around myself for something that will make me smile. Something in nature, a child I may see wherever I am, a pet, a person that might warm my heart.
All of these will help me to change my energy vibration rather quickly to the higher vibration of appreciation, joy and love.
Just begin practicing this as often as you can. When I’m in line at the post office or a store, instead of feeling annoyed I have to wait in a line, I stop and look around, and connect with another person, by looking into their eyes and smiling. I have then helped myself feel good and possibly that other person. I will often give a compliment to someone, even someone I have never seen before. It takes down barriers that people put up.
It’s really a fun way to pass time and to help your own energy vibrations and also that of any room you are in.
I do know that whatever is going on with me, even if I think I may be hiding it, people can feel my real feelings in a split second. So, as I have truly taken responsibility for myself, I also have learned to really live most of my moments in joy.
Appreciation is the biggest thing that has helped me to consistently feel this way.
Give it a try! I encourage you to begin to go on your “Rampage of Appreciation” as often as you can. You’ll be helping yourself, your relationships and everyone you come in contact with daily, even if it’s a brief moment!
Here’s to living in joy, love and appreciation!
