Giving thanks during this time of Thanksgiving is so important.
Only what about every day?
As I find myself giving thanks every day, I’m choosing to slow down.
When you slow down and pay attention to people in your life, I know you’ll find yourself giving thanks more often.
I just returned from the most amazing trip of my lifetime to Thailand.
It was hard to stay asleep in the first several days I was there. I’d wake up way too early with such excitement of what is next.
The feelings I felt were that of a girl on Christmas morning.
The adventure article I wrote before leaving for Thailand spoke about what I experienced.
So much adventure! That’s how I looked at everything we did. I didn’t want to miss a thing!
As I posted so many of my photos on FB, I received comments from others about how grateful they were I was sharing my adventures with them.
To spend up close and personal time with the elephants, was beyond anything I had ever felt. The wonder of these several tons, gentle creatures, created many moments of giving thanks inside of me. I will frame the photo of me kissing and hugging that beautiful elephant!
As we explored several places in Thailand, the gentleness and kindness of the Thai people shown through. So much attention to detail and beauty.
Thankfully I was able to keep up with Hale, my daughter and one of my sisters, for free, through What’s App.
Thailand is 13 hours ahead of Central Standard Time, here in Minnesota.
My sister kept me posted on my mom and her chemo treatments. Thank God her blood counts have continued to stay up, so she could receive the chemo. I’m giving thanks that she isn’t having any significant reactions to the treatments.
For me to see a very different culture in Thailand from ours here in the US, I found fascinating.
Photography has never been something I thought I had and eye for. This all changed for me on this trip! I’d see the beauty and capture it with flowers, plants, unique gorgeous buildings and just about everything.
I was present to the fact I would most probably never see this gorgeous country and experience all that I did, again in my lifetime.
This piece of knowledge kept me giving thanks, so many of my moments.
Here’s a great list of quotes about giving thanks and Thanksgiving, I liked:

It’s always your choice to stop throughout your day and appreciate people, places and things around you.
In this time of Thanksgiving, I hope you’ll do just that.
I’m blessed to have been able to go on this trip of a lifetime. The Founder of eWomen, Sandra Yancey, has a great eye for details. I experienced this throughout our entire trip.
Spending time in Toledo for Thanksgiving with my parents, my son, daughter and her husband, my siblings and their families, I’m grateful for.
I wish for you to slow down, appreciate and pay attention during this season and for each day of your life.
With love and blessings,
Connie
