Winter to spring is different here in the upper Midwest. You never know what you will get.
First, as I’m writing this article, it’s once again snowing.
In contrast, the other day it was in the 60’s, sunny, the birds were singing and we changed our outside pots to spring flowers. (all artificial since nothing live would survive here until the end of May)
I believe the people who live here in Minnesota, have developed a certain sense of resilience. I guess we have to. Or choose to live in a lower vibration a lot of the time.
Winter to spring, is a reflection of so much of what I speak about in my articles regularly.
In the dark days of winter, sometimes it looks as if you won’t see green again.
Then finally, you get moments of birds singing and the daffodils or crocus pop up.
Focus on the people and things you love, and before you know it, things are brightening up!
Mindset. It’s so very important, isn’t it?
You see, life is about choice, each and every day.
I have chosen to be away from the winter, beginning next year. We just closed on a 3 bedroom condo, 45-50 minutes away from my daughter, Abby and her family in the Daytona/Ormond Beach area in Florida.
Because I love the ocean and I want to be near our almost 6 month old granddaughter, Elianah, as she grows up, we found the perfect place to get away from winter.
However, I will not just be there in the winter. I can go whenever I want. I look forward to all the memories that we will create in our second home, on the Halifax River, a 2 minute drive and 15 minute walk, to the beach. The views of the river and the sunsets, are spectacular!
I envision, our four other grandkids joining us there when they can. And my son, Adam too. Abby and her family can use the condo and take Elianah to the beach whenever they want. There’s even a fishing peer for Dad when he comes down.
I love the freshness of spring. It provides hope of new things to come.
How often in our lives do we think things are not changing or they’re remaining the same? When really with a bit of trust, faith and vision, things we want to happen all of a sudden do.
Things can change overnight. Sometimes to things we want and other times to things we don’t want.
We as humans can go through a range of emotions on a regular basis. It’s up to each of us to stop, appreciate and cherish our present moments, isn’t it?
What helps is, to be aware of this and to hold the visions and thoughts of all we hope for and wish to happen close to our hearts, and let go of trying to force anything to happen. We take the actions necessary and let go. With faith and prayer, so much can happen to our liking.
Forcing things, just causes resistance and resistance will keep anything we want or hope for, far away from our present moments.
Enjoy the season’s changing wherever you live!
With love and appreciation for you,
Connie
