Do you know that you can change your daily mindset? Want to know how?
I have been consciously changing my mindset every day for many years now. Did it happen all at once?
No it didn’t. I have found for me, it takes small steps every day to change something.
When I was 19 years old in 1974, I took my first personal growth class. I have taken many since. During this first class, I became aware that what you think and feel, make all the difference in how your moments, days, weeks, months and years will be.
Ultimately, how your life will be.
I learned a meditation practice using visualization. I have practiced different types of meditation now for 41 years, most days.
Getting quiet, paying attention to your breathing, is vital to get in touch with who you are and what you like and what you don’t like. It’s consciously choosing to pay attention to what is going on with yourself instead of living on auto pilot.
Many of you have read the book from the early 1900’s, Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. He speaks about our mindset all throughout his book and how important it is to achieving a successful life. Do you agree?
What can you do daily to help you have a more positive mindset?
I read daily inspiration books, write in a Gratitude Journal, say prayers for myself and many others and some other things. Can you find an inspiring quote and put it on your bathroom mirror, so you will see it and read it each morning and evening?
If you aren’t used to consciously paying attention to what is going on with you and what you’re saying to yourself, starting with something small and adding in new things, is a good way to get moving in the right direction to create a positive daily mindset.
Frequently stop and breathe! Taking deep breaths is so important to slow yourself down and get present to what is happening inside of you and around you. Taking deep breaths also gets oxygen flowing throughout your body and brain, helping you to have more clarity.
I’m a big proponent of taking small steps and feeling like you were successful with what you are working toward, instead of moving so fast, you get stopped or stuck in fear. Then you may give up and not move forward.
If you are inspired about something, then move toward that with as much speed as you are able. There are times when moving quickly is what is best for you to be doing.
Choose to be around positive people as well. This is truly important to achieving a healthy, positive mindset.
What’s the one thing you will add in today, to begin your journey toward living a life with a positive mindset?
Write one thing below you will add!
To your success in having a positive daily mindset,
Connie

I needed this reminder of being more mindful of what is going on with me. I have never done meditation. I think I will add 5 minutes of quiet time to my day.

Thanks Cindy! Starting with 5 min. of quiet time is a great place to start! Pay attention to your breathing in and out as you are sitting there. We can have a conversation sometime about meditation. I can teach you a simple version! Let me know!~
