Creating beautiful memories, help you to live in appreciation and joy.
First of all, I just returned from the most amazing month with my husband, Hale and my Dad, Homer.
It began at the home I grew up in on December 21, 2022 and ended on January 18, 2023, in our new condo in Daytona Beach.
We spent the time together with other family members and friends, celebrating Christmas in Toledo, Ohio.
As I found myself, doing the things you do to prepare for Christmas, including getting presents wrapped or into bags, grocery shopping for foods I was preparing etc., I felt joy and appreciation.
Because Toledo had a snow storm throughout Christmas weekend, we weren’t able to attend any church services, as we usually do.
However, family functions continued as planned.
Staying present the best I could, helped me to be able to create new memories with the people I love.
This was in contrast, from years ago, when I lived more on auto-pilot. Going about my moments with little awareness.
Our large extended family, the day after Christmas party/lunch, always seems to go so fast. As I did my best to talk to most everyone, my appreciation continued, as I created more memories.
Similarly, it continued later that evening, when we got together with my friends from childhood, Sharon and Jeff, for dinner. Such precious moments!
On to creating more memories, as the 3 of us flew to our new condo in Daytona Beach.
For 3 weeks, we spent lots of time doing fun things, laughing and loving being out of the snow storms and cold, Minnesota was having.
Furthermore, all 3 of us experienced many firsts on this trip.
Because my dad is an avid NASCAR fan, we set up the VIP tour at Daytona Speedway. Hale and I have never paid much attention to NASCAR, only after this amazing tour, seeing all of it through Dad’s eyes, we have a new appreciation for how it began and the history we learned about.
We were intrigued throughout the 3 1/2 hours or so we spent there.
Same during the 7 1/2 hours we spent at Kennedy Space Center, after viewing a Space X launch. If you’ve never been there, it is so worth touring all of the exhibits. And even better when you get to experience a launch!
As we toured St. Augustine, the oldest city in the United States, we felt how awesome it was to visit the old fort and other places back from the 1500’s.
The memories we have, visiting our great nephew, my dad’s great grandson, at his new Tampa apartment with his mom and sister, and having our other nephew come and stay at our condo with us, are all priceless.
What memories have you created recently?
Above all, it’s about slowing down, allowing yourself to be present, as you feel appreciation and joy.
Since I created my Living in the Glow business, my awareness of how important it is to live in the the way I described above, has grown.
As I’m winding my business down, I will continue to write these weekly articles. I will begin my free, Women In the Glow zoom Circles again, this spring.
My retreats are coming to an end, at least for now, after my Cost Rica Spiritual Vacation Retreat, coming up February 13-19, 2023. There is still time to join us if you have a valid passport.

So, what will the next chapter of my life hold? Creating more memories by living in the present, in appreciation and joy.
Spending time with family, as our 6th grandbaby is scheduled to be born on March 3, 2023, to my daughter, Abby and husband James. Time with our other grandkids as well, is what I look forward to.
Enjoying our Daytona Beach condo with those I love, is on my list!
Lastly, my goal is to be the example, the best I can, for each of you, to become the best version of yourself you can be.
Reach out to me for a zoom or phone conversation, or if you’re local, to spend time together in person.
With love and appreciation as you create new memories,
Connie
