2024 a new year of your life.
What will you choose to do differently? What are a couple things you’ll add into your life or take away?
On January 1st, for several years now, I have been writing down things I want to add in or will do differently.
Since it’s a new year, I consciously take the time to think about this.
Another part of this is separating your pages you’re writing, into different areas of your life.
My friend, Kristina Fortune Anderson, has spoken in the past about setting intentions, instead of setting new year resolutions.
Segment intending throughout your day, is a good way to make sure you’re following through with your goals or intentions.
I have written about this before. Below is a reminder of what to do.
Slow down during your day to quickly think about what you’re doing next. Take that “segment” to see in your mind’s eye, what it is you want to achieve.
If it’s a meeting you’re heading into, a visit with a friend or family member, or simply getting in your car, picture you arriving safely.
When you become clear about what it is you want to feel and happen, the chances of them happening are increased.
Furthermore, when you slow down, take a second to do this segment intending, you will feel less stressed and more at peace. It’s saying a prayer and calling in God and your angels, to enter your next moments.
Another benefit is better health, peace of mind, more clarity, and more joy. These will be the results you’ll have in this new year.
If it’s more exercise you want in your life, write down what you’re willing to do. Whether it’s joining a health club, gym, or finding workout videos you will do.
Make sure you start realistically. Begin with 3 days each week, not every day. Pick the days and the times that are best for you to do the workouts.
If it’s better nutrition you’d like to have, either see a nutritionist or google this subject. Get your plan together, with foods you will eat.
As a result of taking the time to look at what it is you want to achieve, writing things down and then seeking the help you need, you’ll be on your way to making the differences you want.
No matter which area in your life you want to improve, you can do it!
Accountability partners are helpful. Find someone that is working towards a similar goal. Then decide how you both will check in with each other. When and how often.
Keep it as simple as you can. Be patient with yourself and remember to set your intentions daily and during the different “segments” throughout your day.
You are beginning a new year.
Send me a message with your thoughts and commitments you’re making to yourself. I’m here for you!
Let’s make 2024 the best year yet.
With love and encouragement,
Connie
PS. Here’s a link I liked that explains in more depth about setting intentions for the new year:
