Let Go and Let God, is something I’ve heard a lot over the years. Will you strive for it?
First, it’s all about having faith.
I find I like how this sounds and yet it’s not the easiest at times to pull off, “Let Go and Let God”.
Recently, I was a part of a book club my friend Elda hosted.
Because she asked me to relay on the zoom call, what I say each night as I go to sleep, I knew it was time to write about this again.
Each night I say:
“God, give me whatever it is you want me to know. Help me to hear you, know what you’re saying and remember it. (Sometimes we forget what we hear in a dream or message) Help me take action, when action is appropriate”. (At times it may not be the best time for action).
Also, doing this each night, helps me to get closer to “Let Go and Let God”.
As a result, my answers come to me more often. I need to pay attention throughout my day.
People and our world, need lots of prayers and peace.
Therefore, as I pray for others on my prayer list each day, I feel like I’m helping in some way.
“Let go and let God” has become a beloved saying. It helps to release it to God when you’re overwhelmed.
But in every case, what “Let go and let God” comes down to is the following:
“We need to let go of our own will. We must claim as our own the incredibly hard prayer that Jesus prayed: “Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but Yours be done” (Luke 22:42)
Whether you are a Christian or follow any other faith, this passage can be helpful.
Finally, I plan to do my best to remember everything I’m saying in this article.
I promise to look for and find answers when I’m feeling overwhelmed or feeling off balance.
Continuing to send light, love and prayers, to all those I love, to this world and to myself as well, helps me.
Naturally, as I practice “let go and let God”, I’m feeling some of the burden fall off of me.
Please share with me times you’ve struggled and what helped you.
I’m finding as I reach out to close people in my world, I know I’m not alone.
With love and appreciation,
Connie
