Be aware of your thoughts is my topic.
Because I took another wonderful gentle yoga class this week, the instructors thoughts inspired me to write this.
So, due to my research, I found tips about this important topic:
“Being mindful of your thoughts can reduce stress and boost positivity.
Learn how mindfulness can help you shift your mindset and improve your well-being.”
- Speak less and listen more.
- Slow down and become aware of your thoughts.
- Pay attention to your feelings. Your thoughts create your feelings.
- “Recognize thought shifts and write them down. If you sense a negative thought shift, ignore it and proceed with what you’re doing. If you sense a positive thought shift, follow the thought, write it down, and see where it leads.“
- Quiet your mind through meditation, yoga and prayer.
Additionally, my yoga instructor spoke about the Roman philosopher, Marcus Aurelius.
Basically, she said he asked himself one question each night: “What did I let control me today?”
Since many successful people have studied this philosopher, he realized how important it was to be aware of your thoughts.
Here are some of his quotes you many enjoy:
“You have power over your mind—not outside events. Realize this, and you will find strength.”
“When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive—to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love.”
“The happiness of your life depends upon the quality of your thoughts.”
“Very little is needed to make a happy life; it is all within yourself in your way of thinking.
”If it is not right, do not do it; if it is not true, do not say it.”
Likewise, over the years, I have shared with you the Emotional Scale.
I’ll share it again at the bottom, so you can print it to remind yourself, where your energy is flowing.
You see, all of the emotions on the right side of the scale, create lower energy vibrations for each of us.
On the left side, your vibrations are much higher.
Strive to live more often on the left side of this scale.
Consequently, you will live in more joy and have more of the people and things in your life that create for you a life you love. Your thoughts and feelings matter.
Lastly, my almost 96 year old dad, Homer, is still enjoying his life for many reasons.
One of them, his mindset.
As I ask him lots of days, “How was your day?“
His answer is, “I have a good day every day”.
My wish is you will remember this article as you move through your moments during this holiday season and beyond.
Love and blessings to you,
Connie
