Appreciation helps with so much. What do you think?
Because lately I’ve been reminded more about how appreciation helps in so many instances in life, I decided to write about it.
First, as my 70th birthday celebrations have now come to an end, I found appreciation for each person who acknowledged me.
The last celebration, my daughter Abby hosted, was a small family dinner party for me, that helped me to feel special.
Since she is an artistic person, the dinner table what set to perfection. It was elegant and created that celebratory feeling.
Plus, Abby is a wonderful cook and the dinner was delicious.
So, due to me not wrapping my head around this age I’m now at, I found appreciation helps to move around my negative feelings.
Let me explain. As I look back at all of the decisions I have made over the years, to take care of myself regularly, I now thank myself for them.
Between, regular exercise, chiropractic care, healthy nutrition, good vitamins, and daily prayers and meditations, my body is pretty healthy for a 70-year-old.
Being in a state of appreciation helps.
Another added benefit to feeling appreciation; it helps you to have higher vibrations you give off and feel inside.
Remember the Emotional Scale I often share here in my articles?
Basically, it’s at the top of the scale with love.
It will shift you quickly to feeling and attracting more of the things you want in your life.
Consequently, when I used to put together webinars and speeches, I’d share an exercise that proved quickly how this works.
You too can do this right now if you’d like.
First, ask yourself on a scale from 1-10, 10 being the highest, what are you feeling right this second? What is your mood?
Write down the number.
Time yourself for just one minute, writing down everyone and everything you can think of, that you appreciate.
Next, ask yourself afterward, what number from 1-10 do you feel now after appreciating? Write it down.
As a result of doing this quick exercise, everyone I worked with, moved up at least one number or more. Increasing where they were at on the Emotional Scale.
Since many of us, think things in life can be difficult, this exercise proves very fast, how you can shift where you are at, in any given moment.
After this slight shift upward emotionally, it will prove to you that appreciation helps.
Lastly, pay attention each day and week, when a subject or feeling keeps showing up.
Maybe it’s telling you to slow down and research for yourself, whatever it is.
This is how I choose my topics for my weekly articles.
Send me an email back after you do the exercise above with how many points you moved upward afterward, OK?
With love and appreciation,
Connie
