A New Year In Our Life
By Connie Hertz
It’s January 2014 and another new year in our life.
What are you going to do different this year than you did last year, in 2013?
That’s a question I’ve been thinking about and mapping out, to get me closer to living more of the life of my dreams.
I’m beginning this year by doing another thing on my “Bucket List”. I will be 60 years old in less than 18 months, and thinking about what more I haven’t done and want to do.
I am flying to Rome soon, touring for a few days and then on an 11 day Mediterranean cruise! I am so excited I feel like a little girl! Hale and I, my parents, my daughter and her husband and one of my sister’s and her husband, are going to experience this trip together.
I’ve been reading all about Rome and some of the other places we will go. There is so much history in Europe!
When I return home, at the end of the month, I will be moving and growing my business like I never have.
I am working with someone to help me with all of my plans and new goals, and will meet with other people who can help me move forward. Have you found it’s really more fun and there’s a better chance of success, when you are working in a group?
In my Dream Coaching we call this a “Dream Team”. Others may call it getting together in their “Master Mind” groups.
I definitely need the help of others to reach my goals. Do you too?
As I’m getting closer to 60 years old, I still feel inside as if I’m 30! 60 sounds like such a different feeling age. My plan is to live an amazing life until I’m at least 100 years old or more. Healthy, active, joyful, loving, wise, and open to learn new things all of the time. These are things I strive for now and have been, and plan to have even more of.
One thing that’s become so important to me, is kindness. Being kind to myself and to everyone I meet.
As I slow down, pay attention to me and what I’m feeling in any given moment, I can achieve being kind to myself and those around me, more easily. I keep thinking of a song by Jewel, “Only Kindness Matters”. It keep running through my head.
I pay attention to appreciation as well, very regularly. I frequently go on “Rampages of Appreciation”!
I consciously pay attention to my surroundings and find things to appreciate. Appreciation raises our vibrations and helps us to live a more joyous life.
My purpose is the Live In Joy and to Inspire Others to Live In Joy.
Taking stock of ourselves and creating effective plans for our businesses and our lives, seem to be what many people I know are doing this time of year.
What are you doing? Write some things back to me in the comment section below. I would love to hear about it!
Take care of you and many blessings to all of you in 2014~!
