How do you get into action when you’re stuck in your life?
Back in 2012, I worked with a coach I’ve introduced here in other articles, by the name of Vasavi Kumar.
I came across some info she wrote with a great You Tube Video I’ve included below.
After speaking with Vasavi this past week, I was inspired to share some of her inspiring messages with you.
First of all, one of the most valuable things Vasavi worked with me on, was getting my M.O.V.E. acronym together.
There was a time in my life after my then husband of over 20 years and father of our two kids, left me for a 27 year old, I found myself totally stuck.
Because I relayed to Vasavi what I did to keep moving forward, one day at a time, one second at a time, we came up with “M.O.V.E. 4 Ways to get Unstuck and Live the Life You Love.”
M-Move yourself physically. Take a walk, get outside, go to the health club, do yoga. Get your energy shifted by moving.
O-Open and take Ownership. Become open to new ideas, thoughts and experiences. Take ownership for your life. Stop blaming yourself and others.
V-Verbalize what’s going on with you with someone you trust. Consequently, you’ll begin to stop holding things inside of you.
E-Expand yourself spiritually and interpersonally. Read uplifting things each day. Begin your morning with positive thoughts. Write in a gratitude journal. Pray and meditate. Because as you take time to be quiet and listen, you’ll expand yourself for sure.
As a result of consistently doing M.O.V.E., you’ll find you’re not living from a stuck place.
Furthermore, you’ll then begin to think about what it is you want to feel and what it is you want in your life.
I’ll include the Emotional Scale at the bottom of this article again for you to print and look at throughout your day. It’s a great tool to use to remind yourself of what you’re feeling and thinking. Hence what vibrations you’re putting off and attracting.
Because you’ve done this work on yourself, you’ll be ready to look at your dreams.
The photo above of Vasavi and me, was at the launch party of a book we’re co-authors in, Succeeding In Spite Of Everything.
Below is a piece from Vasavi that will help you to get into action:
“Do you have a Big Dream you just can’t seem to get started on?
Maybe you’ve read all the best blogs and leafed through every book in the Self Help section. Maybe you’ve done the affirmations, chanted the mantras, or filled out the worksheets. But still – nothing seems to work.
What’s up with that? How can so many of us consume all this information about taking action, and still do nothing to push our dreams forward?
Today’s Keepin’ it Real is a seriously brilliant question you might be asking yourself as well:
“Hey Vasavi, my name is Tanya and I am a small business owner. I help people get fit and healthy from the inside out. I love what I do, and I know that I make a difference in the people’s lives that I come across and that I work with. When it comes to my personal and professional life, I have a very hard time taking action. I have read tons of books, attended so many personal growth seminars, and used every time management tool out there. However, despite all the tools that I have, I still don’t take any action. Why is that? Is it that I don’t care? How do I take the first step?”
First off, Tanya, I want to congratulate you on investing in yourself, and being curious about who you truly are at the deepest level.
But here’s the kicker: knowledge isn’t always power. Knowledge is just piles of info gathering dust unless you do something to implement it!
Watch this week’s video & get a full game plan for kicking into action PRONTO.”
