I hope you are enjoying my blogs this month and my guest blogs on exercise!
This is a very short blog today about your exercise accountability buddies.
I spoke of them in week one.
It is crucial for those of you getting started in exercise, whether for the first time ever, or if you are beginning again, to get into a consistent exercise routine, to have an accountability partner/buddy or two.
The important part about picking someone to help you, is for you to feel safe and comfortable with this person. Someone who doesn’t judge you, and at the same time is willing to help hold you accountable.
As I stated before, find your “Why” for commiting to regular exercise. To lose weight, to lower blood pressure and cholesterol, to get into a smaller pant size, to live younger longer? What is it??
Then pick your one or two accountability buddies, write your weekly exercise times/days out on Sunday evening, and send them to your buddies. Ask them again to be available for you to call, or leave a voicemail or text, after you have completed your exercise each time.
Your accountability buddy can also be someone who will commit to working out with you. This would make it more fun, and create a comradery for both of you.
Thats really it, except for congratulating yourself each day you complete your exercise! Keep your positive affirmations on your mirror or where ever you will see them that will encourage you to continue on.
Have fun, and stay tuned for a great exercise story this Friday from my guest blogger, Rina from Lifetime Fitness!
Blessings to you,
Connie
